Course Description


In this course, Professor Eldho T. I., Department of Civil Engineering, IIT, Bombay (NPTEL), gives 40 video lectures on the concepts of Fluid Mechanics. Some of the topics covered in this course include: Fluid Statics, Kinematics and Dynamics of Fluid Flow, Laminar and Turbulent Flows, Dimensional Analysis, Navier-Stocks Equations and Applications, Boundary Layer Theory, Pipe Flow Systems and many more.



The original name for this course is: Civil - Fluid Mechanics.
