Documentary Description
"I am sending you some papers which may be of interest," wrote a young patent clerk named Albert Einstein to a friend in 1905. "Only one of them is revolutionary," he humbly added. Einstein, who was just 26 years old at the time, underestimated the magnitude of his work. In these papers, the young scientist explored some colossal ideas about time and space which would prove to be groundbreaking.
Einstein himself would eventually become an icon as a scientific genius, pacifist and writer. This CBC Radio report explores Einstein's life, loves and prolific career before he immigrated to the United States.
