Video Description

The team swaps military uniforms for civvies when it is tasked with bodyguarding British Minister Long on a foreign State visit. We take viewers through the essential kit, training and planning that is needed for high-level VIP Close Protection as the team strives to protect the Minister while she travels by car, goes on walks and attends meetings. We reveal the survival secrets of defensive driving and the technology and weapons used when driving in convoy. And we show how elite forces deploy escape and evasion techniques to protect a VIP when confronted with an attack.

Documentary Description

Led by Eddie Stone, a team of four SAS veterans re-enact a whole range of dramatic scenarios: on the battlefield, behind enemy lines, evasion and interrogation. Stone gives a step-by-step guide to each reconstructed mission and, with high-tech imaging equipment and computer graphics, he explains the team's strategies while his men demonstrate their weapons and their skills and reveal how they escaped death. Features a recreation of a typical SAS mission.
