Chemical Engineering
Chemical engineering is the area of engineering responsible for the application of the Chemical Science associated to Physics and Mathematics to perform the development of equipments and processes applied to the transformation of natural raw materials to the production of industrially processed goods of higher value. Among the raw materials used are natural gas, crude oil, coal, agricultural and farm products, industrial and municipal waste and many other sources. Among the products are included industrial food in all forms, plastics and its many applications like consumer goods, cars, planes and all transportation vehicles, medicines and biomedical products, fuels and energy in all forms and nanotechnology.
