Video: Iron and Sulfur Reaction

No
The Iron/Sulfur mixture flares up and a porous, black substance is created, Iron Sulphide. Generally liked but not always successful is the magnetic test of the Iron Sulphide. Small, non-reactive Iron particles are still attracted to a magnet. The creation of the Iron Sulphide was made visible in the test tube by a glow, caused by the exothermic quality of this reaction.
