Introduction to Visual Studies with Anna Divinsky
About The Professor
Anna Divinsky is the Lead Faculty of the Digital Arts Certificate Program offered by the School of Visual Arts and World Campus. She consistently teaches an online course that she authored titled Art 10: Introduction to Visual Studies and in the Spring 2 013 she taught Penn State’s first MOOC Introduction to Art: Concepts and Techniques. She is also an adjunct faculty member with the University of Pittsburgh’s Studio Arts Department where she teaches Drawing and Design.
Being an artist inspires and informs Divinsky’s approach to the way she authors and teaches online, integrating studio techniques and hands-on art making. Divinsky’s main goal is to work with faculty, graduate teaching assistants, and students to ensure open communication and positive teaching and learning experience. She has received a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Arts and Art History from the University of Pittsburgh and a Masters of Fine Arts in Printmaking from the Penn State University.
Originally from Kiev, Ukraine, Divinsky has lived in Pittsburgh, PA for over 20 years.
