COLOURfield tell-a-vision is an independent producer of high-profile documentaries and docu dramas. Most colourFIELD productions have a distinctive international appeal, as well as colourFIELD films are normally praised for their taste, opulence, style, sense of humour and their journalistic depth and educational impact. colourFIELD films are often based on funding from both domestic and international broadcasters, especially public broadcasters and networks, such as ARD, ZDF, Arte, 3 Sat.

colourFIELD started operating in Bavarian Munich in 1994, and is now based in the Westphalian capital Dortmund. colourFIELD's founders (and owners) are journalists/directors Petra Höfer and Freddie Röckenhaus.
