THINKFilm (THINKFilm)
THINKFilm, a privately held production and distribution company founded in September 2001, is a division of David Bergstein’s Capitol Films. Bergstein also serves as the company’s chairman. THINKFilm has distributed a number of award-winning independent films such as Taxi to the Dark Side, which won 2007 Best Documentary Feature; Half Nelson, whose star, Ryan Gosling, received a 2006 Oscar Best Actor nomination; and Born into Brothels, which won the 2005 Oscar for Best Documentary. Other nominated films include Spellbound, The Story of the Weeping Camel, Murderball and War/Dance.
Recent THINKFilm releases include Strangers with Candy; The Zodiac; Daniele Luchetti’s My Brother is an Only Child; Helen Hunt’s Then She Found Me; The Tracey Fragments starring Ellen Page; Noise starring Tim Robbins; Stuart Gordon’s Stuck, starring Mena Suvari and Stephen Rea; and Werner Herzog’s documentary Encounters at the End of the World.
