Lecture Description

In this video, we're going to explore e-commerce in WordPress. This will just be a showcase to introduce you to what's possible with WooCommerce.

WooCommerce is the most popular e-commerce plugin in WordPress. Interestingly, it powers about 40% of all online stores on the internet (not just WordPress, but the internet).

WooCommerce is also backed by Automattic, one of the most well-known and reliable companies in WordPress.

It's powerful, has a wide variety of features, and has additional add-ons for purchase. For these reasons, we highly recommend it as the go-to solution for e-commerce in WordPress.

After installing WooCommerce from the plugin directory, you'll be taken to an easy-to-use setup wizard.

After the setup, you'll see the Products menu on the left side. New products are easy to add in there. You'll also need to set up the payment gateway(s) to be ready to sell.
