Lecture Description

This is a video of part of a lecture course in thermal and statistical physics I taught at the Catholic University of Korea in 2013.

This lecture includes:
- statement of a theorem on the efficiency of Carnot cycles (1:40)
- Proof that the efficiency of the Carnot cycle depends only on the temperatures of the high and low temperature reservoirs (3:35)
- Proof that the Carnot cycle has maximum efficiency of any heat cycle between the same two reservoirs (12:02)
